Jolyne Caruso’s career has spanned global capital markets, alternative asset management and private wealth management, serving in leadership roles at major investment banks and boutique firms. For the past 4 years, Jolyne served as Divisional Vice Chair at UBS in the firm’s Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) division within Global Wealth Management. She was responsible for the Family Office Consultant (FOC) business that comprises the firm's top 100 wealth advisors who serve UBS’s largest and most sophisticated clients. With a long track record of working with wealthy families across generations, Jolyne helped to develop and deepen global UHNW client relationships for the firm.
Prior to joining UBS, Jolyne founded and for 9 years led The Alberleen Group, an investment banking and advisory firm serving privately held companies and families investing in private direct investments. The firm sourced, structured and co-invested alongside families in private direct deals across equity and debt vehicles.
She previously worked as Global head of Absolute Return Strategies at Lehman Brothers and served on the firm's Management committee. Prior to Lehman, Jolyne was co-founder and president of Andor Capital Management, a $7.0 billion equity long/short hedge fund. From 1992 to 2001, she was Managing Director and head of Equities Americas at JP Morgan and was chairman of JP Morgan Securities. She began her career in institutional equities at Bear Stearns.
Jolyne earned a B.A. with Honors from Barnard College, Columbia University, and is Chair Emerita of Barnard’s board of trustees. She currently serves on the advisory council of Columbia University’s Entrepreneurship Program and is incoming Chair of the board of Align Impact, an impact focused registered investment advisor. She is married to Shawn FitzGerald, whom she met while both were undergraduate students at Columbia, and they have 2 children.
